The Context:
Every home gardener struggles with their plant care journey. In this struggle, they find that plants can be quite dramatic, some others quite easy and hardy. This campaign started out with Ugaoo introducing award categories and nominating plants under those categories. The audience had to vote for the plant that best fits the category.
Categories included – The Drama Queen, The Dynamic Duo, The Mini Marvel etc.
We didn’t stop there, because we wanted the campaign to make a tangible difference to the brand’s revenues, not just engagement. The winning plant under every category was discounted via a coupon code. This incentivized people to comment and then of course, go purchase their favourite plant!
Influencers were brought on board to break down the mechanism of the activity and amplify the campaign.
