About Here Comes The Sun:
Here Comes The Sun is an initiative by Shaheen Bhatt that encourages conversations around mental health. (launched and managed by Stone Soup!)
The Campaign: How do you deal with?
The GWTB (Get/Who/To/By)
The only way to normalise and destigmatize mental health is by starting a conversation about this taboo topic. There’s no one better than a well-known public figure to champion this. Luckily, we had 2! For this campaign, Shaheen Bhatt and Ananya Birla collaborated on a video series in which they addressed frequently asked questions about mental health. They shared the challenges they face and the tools that they have developed overtime to help navigate those challenges.
The Execution
Phase 1: Asking the right questions:
We announced the series with a teaser asking our audience to send in their mental-health-related questions to Shaheen and Ananya.
Phase 2: Sharing some perspective:
In this video series which had 11 episodes, Shaheen and Ananya answered the frequently asked questions by our audience and told us how they dealt with panic attacks, overthinking and social anxiety among other topics. This campaign was spread over a period of 2 months with bite-sized information from the video going up as posts and stories every day.
Phase 3: Building a crowdsourced guide:
For this phase, we aim to create a digital repository by curating Shaheen & Ananya’s answers alongside the most popular insights received in the comments. This repository will also have insights and solutions given by certified mental health professionals, which will help us validate the information.
The campaign got a lot of support!
