The Problem

In India 1 in 5 people suffer from anxiety and depression.

That's 280 million people or 15 times the size of Mumbai’s population.

Conversations surrounding mental health are rudimentary, due to a lack of awareness, a dearth of infrastructure and limited resources to enable treatment. Which is why it's referred to as an Invisible Epidemic.

The only way to bring about change is open conversation, acceptance and information.

The Insight

Despite the perception of their picture-perfect lives, celebrities are as human as all of us. Many of them have had to overcome some form of anxiety or depression to get to where they are.

The Idea

To normalise and destigmatize mental health, we decided to spark a conversation through honest personal battles with anxiety and depression. We used a mix of influencers and regular people to highlight how prevalent this was, attacking the isolation felt by sufferers.

This was followed up with a series of posts to educate people about the illness, arming them with the right tools to solve the problem while contextualising it for the friends and family of those affected.
